OVERVIEW:
A P&I condition survey was performed onboard a 1,447 DWT bunker barge in Valencia on behalf of a P&I Club.
The inspection focused on the vessel’s general condition and operational risks relevant to P&I exposure, including review of class, statutory and safety-related documentation together with onboard assessment of lifesaving appliances, firefighting equipment, crew safety, occupational safety, pollution prevention arrangements, cargo-related areas and general maintenance condition.
The attendance was carried out from a loss-prevention perspective, identifying visible deficiencies and operational conditions that could potentially increase exposure to P&I-related risks.
