OVERVIEW:
During unloading operations, the mobile shore crane grab hit one side ballast tank surrounding cargo hold. As a consequence, side ballast tank steel plate was damaged an water started to leak and spread in cargo hold, damaging part of the remaining cargo. Survey was held in order to verify, asses and evaluate the extension of the damages, and investigate stevedores’ action and liability.
